Sign of an economic downturn, or sign of a misguided hotel plan?
The plans and permits for this UDistrict site (4719 12th Ave NE) have been approved since 2004, and for just $3.2 million you could be on your way to owning the site of a future 62-unit hotel. But why hasn’t it been built? Is the land priced too high? Is this the wrong area for a hotel? Is getting this built going to cost way too much?
What is it? Enquiring minds want to know!

You could ask the current owners. They run the exisitng University Motel just to the north.
Merle died a few years back. That probably has something to do with it.
