One little house in Ballard.
MyBallard.com, which does an exceptional job of covering news in Ballard, posted an update about the development going up around Edith Macefield’s house. Ms. Macefield is the woman who turned down a $1 million offer to sell her home to developers. Anyway, thought this was a great photo to share.

This looks like that Bugs Bunny cartoon where he refused to give up his rabbit hole when they wanted to build the big freeway through his meadow.
Bravo to her for understanding that it isn’t all about the money and that current property owners who sell to developers with no care to what happens to the property are a big part of the problem.
She should have taken the money.
